I'd put money on your choke being kaput. |

If the choke is off completely, and the main throttle stop is loosened the entire way or missing, there is also a screw at the front of the carb, I don't know if its another throttle stop screw, or not, but it has an effect on the final position of your throttle butterfly. It is just near the idle up on the front of the carb. Whats your throttle cable slack like too? Timing has an effect on idle speed also, I found that more timing causes the idle to rise, less slows it. Disclaimer: I'm no pro, more of an Amateur (edit: Amateur to real hack actually), this is stuff I've learned tinkering with my sierra. |
