Hey guys, I know the 31's will rub with only a 2" suspension lift but can someone tell me where? Front or back? Outer guard or on the inside? I'd like to grind whatever needs grinding before hitting the mud. thanks |

Blah blah suspension lift isn't for tyre clearance blah blah |

Yes, I realise that. A body lift would give more clearance for larger tyres but even a 2" BL requires some grinding or hammering according to the research I've done. So with or without a BL, can anybody please answer my questions? |

Back of the front wheel arches will be bad, I think you'd need to hammer the inner arch quite a bit and possibly adjust the accelerator pedal rear of the rear arches, youll need to cut down the bumper, do something about the lip on the arch or fit really big bumpstop spacers and I think some of the bumper support gets in the way as well. I think its doable if you dont go crazy with offset but youll be cutting a lot |

No, less grinding/hammering if you put in bumpstop spacers. Why is this the hardest thing in the world to understand? |

That's what I said isn't it. 'Less' grinding with coil spacers. |

No, coil spacers will make zero difference to how much you have to grind. If the axle can reach the bumpstop- no change to how much grinding. Steve. |

Would you think I'm better off maybe just selling the 31's , and getting 30's or 29's? |

Just saw the bump stops. They look good. Are there any negatives to them? |

Reduced overall wheel travel by the thickness of the bumpstop spacer, however, on the rear the spacers allow you to fit shocks with twice the extra travel of the thickness of the spacer- so in the rear you can gain overall travel by fitting bumpstop spacers. In the front you'll loose travel because longer struts would make the cvs fall apart. Steve. |

The chassy rail bellow is normally where it will first start scrubbing on anything above 29" with standard rims depending on tire width.
