Hi all,

Our 2003 Jimny is up and running again after our m15a engine swap. Runs like a dream :D

However the original alternator has packed it in thanks to a bit of water  Just after some advice on a good way forward from here...from what I've read the stock alternator gives out 75amps which isn't too bad. We will be looking to install a dual battery system at some point down the track, likely to run a few lights and a winch. Should we be looking to upgrade to a Falcon alternator, or would a stock one be sufficient?

Also can you swap a different Suzuki alternator (from an m16 or m18?) to give a bit more output?

Cheers

Here is another thread for you, how to put a 110A falcon alternator on your M13/15A Jimny:

The post I made in that thread is now on my M15A in my sierra, I used the M13A bracket, the M15A had a cast bracket that was different.

Cheers :)
