okay iv been measuring and the whole lot

and im probly 70% sure my 83 tin top sierra will be a stright swap fromm 1lt 4speed

to 1.3lt 5 speed
i have been told that if i have the extra hole at the chassis engine mount then mine will swap

i had a look and yes it does iv been trying to work out the gearbox cross member which not sure but should all bolt up

im wondering if all that iv said sounds right

and wondering if anyones done a swap like iam doing ?
and if it all does really just bolt in

and yes i know about the bonnet but not worried about that atm

I have done this on my LWB maruti and the engine mounts are in different spots for the 1.3L, i had to get some and weld them in.

are you sure cause iv been told that the model i have already has the right holes on the engine mounts for the 1.3 to bolt stright in

Hey bud. Some of the Jap made 1L had a multi fit mount. I think he has identified his zook as being one of them, so it shouldn't require moving the engine mounts at all.

yeah thats what im saying thank you mate i know iv had a few threads on this but im trying to get this all worked out as i have everythink ready just have to get your engine crane and pull out my 1lt then i can actually see properly but i dnt wana pull it out if its not going to work waste of time

Try and find a pic of a 1.3 and see if you gearbox mount are the some in your 1L.
