Post subject:  DIY Diff Fluid Pump
I don't know if this is a new idea or just new to me. All I did was get a cheap herbicide spray bottle (see below) from Bunnings and remove the tip from the wand. Simply pump up the bottle until the pressure valve pops, put the end of the wand in the filler hole and pull the trigger. It took under 2 mins per diff to replace the oil in a Jimny this morning. Both diffs were done with the one cycle of pumping and there was still pressure to spare when I was done. Best part is the only bit of spillage I had was the couple of drops that run over once the the diff is full. I just put the tip back on the wand once I was finished to ensure the oil left in the gun doesn't gum up.

I wonder how well all the seals in it will cope with oil long term?

Bit of an update on this one guys. Since my first post I've had oil sitting in the bottle and had to do two more diffs since my GF thought driving through door depth water at Straddie was "fun". The seals in the pesticide bottle are still holding up fine. I actually found a note on it saying that the seals are viton so the oil staying put seems to make sense.

I've actually taken it one step further. The mrs insisted on getting a flash Mercedes soccer mum car. I needed to change the fluid in the "never service permanently sealed" 7 speed auto... Unfortunately it's a common problem. To fill this though you need to fill it via the drain plug with over 9 litres of fluid including a reasonably flow for flushing the torque converter and cooler. My little garden sprayer wouldn't cut it so I went to the big boy garden sprayer in the link below. It's more expensive but it has threaded fittings attached which enabled me to connect standard pneumatic fittings to attach my compressor and hose barbs. As a result I cut a length of new new hose for each new fluid I introduce and can get a good flow rate from my compressor or revert back to the hand pump for mobile projects. It even comes with a pressure guage if you like bells and whistles. I've retired the little plastic sprayer obviously.
