| Post subject: | suzuki maruti stockman diff |
hi new here hoping someone can help i have a maruti ute it was a 1000 cc motor, i changed to a 1.3 litre and 5 speed gearbox also put a 1.3 transfer box sj70 (as the 1000 litre transfer box died) but my problem is now my rear diff has done the pinion, it has broken 4 teeth. the crown has 45 teeth and the pinion has 11 teeth which would make it a 4.09 ratio. impossible to find? plus very slow on the road, so could any one tell me if a 3.7 diff would fit, or would it change the power to much? |

My maruti has a jimny diff centre in the back, after mine did similar... Jimny diff centre bolts straight into the housing (assuming yours is a wide track model?) but you'll need the flange off the jimny tailshaft, or remove the pinion flange and teplace with the maruti one... |

Jimny rear is the diff you want. You can use it in both front and rear of your maruti and the ratio is identical. Some people claim they're weaker than the maruti centre, Although I run 2 in my zook and have had no issues. What is your tyre size? It may be to blame for you slow onroad manners. |
