Anyone happen to know if the complete XL7 rear diff can be swapped out for a GV one with minimal fuss? I presume it can, just wondering if anyone has attempted it previously (google is giving me nothing). I presume it'll need to be from a GV with ABS sensors etc, but other than that can anyone think of any other issues? |

From one of RIKSTR's old forsale ad's. Quote: 1510mm WMS to WMS this is one of the widest diffs you will ever see., it's huge and with a 5.13 ratio.

The only thing i can think of apart from ABS is spring sizes the diameter is fair bit larger on a xl-7 to a GV, also diff ratio's. AND the propshaft flange would have to see if a XL-7 prop shaft would bolt up to a GV diff flange. |

Cheers for the info fellas. Have had a crawl under both of them this morning and I reckon it should be doable without too much drana. Spring size hopefully won't be an issue as long as the calmini springs seat properly in the upper mount. Diff ratios isn't an issue as I'll be swapping the front out at the same time. Just need to find me a GV rear axle now that has ABS. |

Nothing came up on parts search, Try new model wreckers, delivery is usually around 100 and price of parts are reasonable. |

There is a Wreckers in Mordialloc that have GV's and XL7's. I've bought stuff from them and pricing is not bad. Just make sure your exact on what you ask for. Mordialloc Auto Wreckers. |
