gday , I have a GV 98 2.0 J20A manual.
I Have a problem with my transfer case , and no wreckers will sell me just the transfer case.
I have finally found a 2003 GV 2.0 J20A manual gearbox+transfer case.

Will it be as simple as just swapping it out ?

I'm fairly certain a bunch of transfer cases might fit, not just the 2.0 GV case. (The V6 cases won't/don't fit, though.)

I can't be certain, but I'd size up the 1.6 vit case as well; they look remarkably similar, although I am sure that is likely external dimensions only? Anyway, the GV gurus will be in shortly to correct me I'm sure.

As for your question, however: yes.

ahh I see ! I have been told about the 1.6 Vits , but I have had no certain answers. So I have decided I will just stay with a GV!
$675 for the gearbox+transfer and it is local!
compared to- just the transfer case being more than $500 once shipped.
