Just wondering can I bolt my efi head onto a carby bottom end with out changing anything or do I have to change pistons etc?

If you need to ask....

It's possible, but it turns the motor from a free spinner into an interference motor. There's swapping required of the crank pulley as well.

There's also compression ratio implications, and the G16B bottom end is better.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with making a hybrid - I'd swap in complete, unmolested G16B

Steve.

+1
I've made a few hybrids and done repairs etc.
I'm way over it, so much easier to hunt for a good complete runner.

Good runners can be sourced from $150ish, a headgasket kit is $100.
Its hard to financially justify bastardising a hybrid, considering all the suq it brings with it
