Have a 05 GV 2.5 V6 4 Door with 235/60/16, bull bar and the rest stock. Babying it and City Driving on BP Ultimate 98 I get an average of 13.5L/100KM. Reading other posts this seems a little. high. I recently had it serviced, plugs and fuel filter were changed. Can i confirm this is high and what I can try to get that number lower? I read that possibly bearings may help. |

Yeah that's a little high but for city driving I don't think it's anything worth worrying about. Mine gets anywhere between 10litres per hundred on the highway to 12-13 around town and upwards of 20 in low range |

Based on Mudmav's comments it doesn't sound too bad, city driving can be hard on fuel economy. However also suggest you check your air filter too if that wasn't done, perhaps run a few more psi in your tyres. Some owners here on AZ have claimed that fitting a snorkel and free flow exhaust has made improvement to their fuel economy on these motors. Note however, a Snorkel is a one time accessory fitment, you have to cut several holes in your car, so once it's on it you won't be taking it off, but is useful if you do any long trips in dusty and/or warm to hot conditions, and especially useful for deep water crossing. A properly sized free flow exhaust can improve most cars cruising fuel economy, again not so much around town. Not sure if you have to reset base ignition timing on GVs to get the most out of 98 octane, but if you do then you really need to run it on 98 all the time, however it is relatively cheap to do and can easily be reset. |

How ......... Ok mines modded to hell and runs muds as everyday tyres. 2000 5dr V6. Snorkel, 31's 5in lift, Bar, winch, 2xBatteries, roof rack and lots of pinstripes. I get around 350ish around town and 450ish out on the HWY (loaded with camping gear) and that's on 55lts of ULP. |

Cool thanks for the replies. I did a lot of highway driving this past week and therefore found I can get close to 600 on my 66L tank. So that is good. |
