Okay cold demist would be awesome because everytime it rains the last thing i want is to be using the hot demist, i was playing it today because it is pissing down raining, i put the thing on demist then lean under the dash and physically push the flap up for full demist (cable is shit) then i make the switch all the way to cold, then open the bonnet and physically turn the heater tap all the way off, WHY does it still make a hot demist is there something i am missing here.

I'm surprised you've got cold at all. I can only select between scalding and thermonuclear......

That's only because they are usually chock-a-block full of mud and slush

I've got the slowing down wiper thing happening too. Lucky mine is a soft top and slightly easier to access than the hard tops

do you get cold floor?
sounds like the heater tap is leaking, see if the hoses are hot both sides of the tap when you have it off
but hot demist works better, thats why they are set like that

yeah i know but sucks when it is raining, makes it worse, if it is a hot day and the rain is warm just fucks the whole system. i will have to check out the heater tap either that or get over it for another 3 years

because with a/c it is easy to cool the glass to the outside temp, whereas no ac is easier to heat the glass on the outside to match inside temp

...also, ac dehumidifies the inside of the car.

Plane old air seems to eat mine. I wouldn't put any kind of treatment on my windows just in case. That stuff works miracles on windscreens though. Had an old BA ute that I lathered up with rain-x. Didn't even need wipers after that. The slope of the windscreen made the beaded water just roll off.

yep I'm suprised you can put up with that shit aircon. When you get sick of and pull it out send it to me and i'll see if I can get it working for you (may take a while though).
