hi , can anyone tell me if a f10a camshaft will fit into a f8a engine? I have a new Chinese f8a engine but its the variation that is set up to fit a carry van , I need to change the distributor housing and the distributor drive gear and distributor .
I was thinking that it would be easer just to replace the camshaft rather than pulling the drive gear off the original f8a engines camshaft and pressing it onto the new Chinese f8a's camshaft.
I cant use the original f8a's camshaft as the head on the original engine has separate housing on the front of the head and I have been informed that the camshaft bearing journals wont match up with the new chinese f8a's one piece head.
