Hi all,
Has anyone got any idea what these spring hangers are off?
This is what they look like in a coily sierra
If anyone can steer me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it

They look like they answer a question nobody asked to me. The problems with the coil sierra aren't at the axle, they're at the chassis. Steve. |

This would certainly help with suspension options for the front as there is almost nothing available aftermarket cheers Pete |

A larger diameter shock won't clear the spring bucket. That bracket raises the car, what, 2" but doesn't add any spring or shock travel. There are very few small diameter, short shocks available. Most are monotube which means they have relatively short travel for their compressed length. The result is a taller car with no added travel (or a stock height car with reduced travel) to run an average shock with no added travel. I don't get it. |

but looking at the last photo there is considerably more travel than a stock coily!!!! Or am I looking at it all wrong

Not more travel, the car is just taller. With a stock shock and those mounts, the bumpstops will need to be lowered by the same height as the new spring mount adapters. If you add longer shocks, the bumpstop spacer will need to be increased by half the extra extended length of the shock. |

All the larger "kits" i have seen on a coily do exactly as Steve said, they only really raise the height, the amount of travel is still the same. I'd be looking at the compressed side aswell as I have noticed a lot of them have bumpstop extensions/are nowhere near the guard. So rather than extra flex you have just added instability due to a higher ride height. Even the pictures of the 4xfourart 4 inch lifts on a coily aren't real impressive IMO. |
