G16b vitara Fuel pump fuse - posted a while ago had my fuel pump fuse blowing, after the fault coming and going its back and ive been able to trace it back.. Disconnected loom containing fuel pump wires back to the dash and still blowing fuses, so i disconnected the relay and it still blew which tells me its on the way from the computer to the relay.. Only like 20cm of cables.. And cant see a fault... Or is there more wires before the computer?? So could it be in the computer or something?? Or am i on the wrong track? Does anything else come off the fuel pump fuse?? I dont have a manual as i just bought a wreck for the motor and loom.
The main relay takes power form the fuse, via a black-red wire which goes to main relay. The output of the main relay, is a blue-black wire, which goes to the fuel relay, and few other things (Injectors, egr and emission valves, ECU and TCM if an auto).
The engine bay loom runs under the manifold, and there is a plug to separate the injectors above the water pump (if you cant unplug the injectors) and the two valves which can be unplugged easily.
There's plenty of wiring diagrams and service manuals, just google and download them
You may have to pull the engine bay loom, and unplug it to see if the fault is ecu-tcm area, or in the engine bay loom.
