Hi guy and girls,
I currently own a manual 1999 Grand vitara with some mild modifications. we use it mostly to tow our boat however we like to get away and go beach fishing and i like to take it 4wding now and then (saunders gorge, Moonta dunes, salt creek fishing etc).

Basically my partner and i are looking into getting a later model cause she cant drive manual and she'd use it as a daily also because i recently have got a company vehicle so waste of money on insurance and rego it sitting at home being used once or twice a week.

My question is how good are these off road being independent all the way round. How do people fit a dual battery in the engine bay?
I'm leaning towards a 2005 - 2006 auto H27 V6.
What kind of aftermarket support do these have?
Has anyone had any dramas with these cars?

This is the current truck.

This one is on gumtree for 12K but has 162000kms. You can get a 2006 model with 120000kms for the same money but with no mods.

Which would be the peferred?
