Hey Auszookers ! My name is Andy, im 17 and in my final year of school. i recently bought my first car a suzuki Sierra ! its a 98 model, black and its as stock as they come except a two way radio and a light bar haha.... i am chasing some advice on how i can modify my zook for looks and practicality. i dont really have any need for extreme offroad ability but will do a bit of beach work such as fraser island etc... also i do allot of spearfishing and for shore dives i want to set something up like a roof basket for gear and eski and guns to clip onto the side etc... i have tried to add a pic of my zook but not sure how? anyone with advice etc would be much appreciated ! cheers Andy |

Make a photobucket account, upload the photos you want to there and then post the "IMG" code in your post here, it'll bring the picture up once you've posted it Best option for a Coily if you don't need anything extreme would just be the "ultima" 40mm lift kit that is for sale on E-bay http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/40mm-Suspens ... 5d530c19d6. It's $600 delivered and you can easily fit it yourself. No other mods are required to fit it and it'll give you a big enough lift for any beach work or medium difficulty tracks you'll come across (stock sierras are great anyway) with that lift kit you'll also easily fit some 235/75/15 tyres as well. This is my old one with those size tyres and that exact lift kit ![]() ![]() Good luck with it and Welcome to Auszookers

Welcome to our crazy world of Suzuki offroading! As an old geezer offering advice to a young person full of vim and vigor, I would suggest that you stick with what you have for a while to get the feel of this wonderful vehicle! You'd be surprised at how well it runs offroad as-is! Get in tip-top shape then drive it for a while before throwing money at it. That way, you can have fun AND save up for the mods that you eventually choose to do. I hope that this helps! |

^^ What he said Keep it stock for at least 6 months and learn to drive it, and fix any little niggles that show up (focus on reliability). Then once you're 100% on how you're driving it and where you're taking it you can consider what mods will best suit. |

Like everyone has said keep it stock if you still find the need of bigger rubber slap some 215/75 r15s on as they wont effect gearing as much. Dont bother with cheap shitty lifts the stock suspension will be more than capable for beach work. |

a two inch suspension lift is basically the only modification you can get for a coily, basically. Create a photobucket account as previously suggested for photos. give us a bit of info on yourself, i.e location !! |

so i pulled up beside a stock coily sierra at the beach yesterday ! turns out my car has already got a 2inch lift in it ! sat much higher than a stock one. here is a pic i think i did it right ? not sure, am going to look at some second sierra tyres with 50-60% a bloke is giving me so will see how they go. but as is i love it. also. will a new air filter and a new fuel filter get my sierra going more than 110 ? http://s1380.photobucket.com/user/AndyS ... c.jpg.html |
