Hey guys long time no Auszookers!

Over the years my SWB Vitara has developed a bad rattle noise from what appears to be both side cv's. This is when they are locked and unlocked. Bumps trigger the rattle noise and its getting pretty bad.

I can grab the outer CV and move it up and down and duplicate the rattle noise. It seems to have alot of play in the rear of the hub section where the dust seal is. I have checked this against a mates Vit and his have very little upward movement within the rear of the hub.

Now my question, is there a bush or bearing in the hub behind the main front wheel bearing for the CV to run on and is it replaceable?

All help appreciated!

Yes & yes - some have a bushing, some have a bearing and yes it is replaceable.
