Lock them in and try and turn the front driveshaft with the transfer in 2h. Drive shaft turns, 1 or more not engaging. Drive shaft doesn't turn, both engaged. Please put the handbrake on while doing this. Safety first. |

drive onto sand in 4L dump the clutch if you dont move and have dug a hole with the rear wheels, your hubs are not locked |

Easier still - engage 4x4, lock hubs, jack up each of the front wheels seperately and see if they can turn by hand... You can usually feel and hear a the hub 'clicking' in if you engage it then turn the wheel slightly if it is is good condition. |
