Hey all.

So I've done the Jimny upper mount and vitara lower spring mounts on my new Coily. Now the hard part of what springs / shocks to put under it... Saam isn't responding to pm's (I don't blame him, it's been years) and I don't want to bother Rusho too much :P so my question to you guys is what sort of shocks have people run on the back of their vitaras to achieve a 3" lift? I can't fine any 3" lifted vitara shocks on ebay / google. Also does anyone know what other 4wd's have springs that will fit the back of a vitara? I saw Rusho said that Saam had used 2" lifted CRV springs so I'm currently looking in to that to see what model will fit the vitara / jimny mounts and if I should use CRV fronts on the front or if it'd be better to run rears all round... Rawr!

Anyone who knows about this kind of stuff feel free to comment :) we're a little stuck at the moment haha.

Myles.

I read about the honda springs and took one of mine to the honda wreckers in nerang, nothing came close to being taller than a 40mm sierra one, i ended up using a standard jimny front spring as they are alot taller than a 40mm bluemax coil.

We get a mix of their range here.

Is there a specific model that the suspension will work for a coily???
I can't think of any Skodas that have decent wheel travel. :|

Why not run a 3 inch lifted jimny front coils in the front?

Also. I remember seeing ages ago that 180sx standard springs were a upgrade for the rear of a vit.

Td Gemini front coils should be about 3-4 in lift

I used mid 90 front skoda felicia, for the front.
and rear lwb grand vitara for the rear, (a flicia rear tried by some of my friends with coily works even better, much longer.)
that's gave my about 3" lift, and soft nice ride.
when used koni shocks config to hard the car works and handle best, on rock crawling and rally raid stuff... (:

the koni front was 47cm opened, and when close i lower the bumpstops 25mm. (i had to modify lower spring mount welded to the "eye", the lower part)
for the rear i also used koni shcock 46cm opened and i wasn't needed lower the bumpstop.

modified, welded only to the mount and tight fit on the shock body.

my old setup on the left skoda spring , and on the right new 4xforart 4" spring. the old ride much better.
