For a standard 2 inch lift , you should just be able to buy and off self shock. I have old man emus, and the ride is quite good. Though the ome springs are known for good ride quality and I have tried no other shocks. Some times a little more info can be good. I'm assuming your talking about a sierra. Measuring shocks is as easy as pulling the old ones out and flexing up the suspension and measuring the eye to eye length when at bump stops and full droop. You may have to pull the leaf packs apart and derate them a bit to get to the bump stops, which would probably make the ride a lot better at the same time. If your running 31 inch or bigger tyres you may allso benefit from spacing the bumps stops down. Which then would allso give you the ability to run a slightly longer shock, which may or may not allow more droop, if the springs are not the limiting factor.

I have 29inch tyres.the ride up front is so hard.its like the leaf pack is not working or flexing.so how do I flex up the suspension to measure up for new shocks. take shocks off.then what jack up chasssi or jack up axle. to measure up.thanks
OME Sierra front shocks are only 415mm extended, a whole 10mm longer than standard and only 4mm more total travel. They're going to be almost topped out just sitting still.
I think that's a poor solution when you can safely fit a much longer shock without bumpstop spacing.
If you want to improve the ride I would try removing some leafs from your spring packs. Bottom ones first.
