Just wondering what some of you have used to adapt to top of carby? besider the standard 1.6 air filter box. I dont have 2" body lift and i'm using the 1.3 airbox as my snork is on that side. The standard 1.3 metal hat dont fit to the 1.6 carby. I'm going to look at pinch a part for something tomorrow to adapt to the top of the carby. Ideally a nice 90 degree elbow straight on carby would be great, or a very small metal hat from another car if i'm lucky. Any thoughts? Chop |

I made a little adapter from a nylon cutting board First I used a 65mm holesaw to cut a circular piece from the cutting board. Then put a bolt thru the middle of it and tightened a nut down onto it. I could then mount the disc into my drill press which acted kinda like a lathe. For a cutter I just used a sharp wood chisel. |

I have a standard 1.3L metal hat that adapts to the 1.6L carby. It has been modified with a bigger ring welded inplace. |
