Hi all,

I was just curious as it is getting close to me needing to replace my break pads, how hard a disc brake conversion for the rear end of a jimny would be?

Is there a standard replacement part available to do it, or another part compatible to do this?

Would doing this in any way void the car legally in terms of roadworthiness?

Any tips from anyone who has done this would be great.

Cheers
Chris

You would need to make the caliper mounts unless some one is doing this as an after market part .This would also need a caliper with a hand brake mechanism and then that would all need to be engineered to meet ADRs.
But yes it is all possible, just depends on how much you want to spend.
