Hi guys I've been scouring the internet for the answer with no luck I have been given a lj81 which has a 3k engine in it I'm pretty sure it's been in my family from new anyway a fair while ago a neighbour of my family put a 3k motor in the lj81 but just made up some engine mounts out of angle and a bit of steel now it was perfectly legal to drive around for years but has been pulled off the road and been sitting in the shed I would like to get it back on the road but the engine mounts were the reason it was pulled off the road. So if anyone knows what engine mounts are needed for this conversion that would be a great help as I've heard it was a pretty common conversion. Cheers |

You can use corolla rubber mounts but for the chassis side you will have to fabricate something. |

I have a LJ wiv the 3K, that was converted nearly 20 years ago. It has 3K mounts, and the chassis brackets were fabricated to suit. Next time I'm up at the farm, I'll have to take some pics for ya. Might be a week or so, but. |
