Ok so I'm wanting to install a 1inch body lift onto my gv but I have a few questions for the people who have installed one before.

-strut brace, what did you have to do to be able to fit the strut brace back on.
-clutch, I've noticed that some people have disconnected and drained the fluid for one off the lines? Is this nessisary and what do I have to do when refilling it with fluid.
-and other cables, are there any other cables or wires in the engine bay that I will have to disconect before lifting it?

Cheers.

If you haven't read it already, check out my post from when I did mine:

- Strut brace can either be spaced up, or the strut tower metalwork massaged to fit (ie angle grinder and ball peen hammer is your friend). I think spacing it is a shit idea personally so would go the latter ever time. Do it neatly and you'd never pick it as not being factory.
- You will need to un-do the clutch lines (and possibly get a longer one made). GVs (and most suzukis I believe) have fixed studs on the body hence even though you just want to install a 1" lift you still need to lift the body a good 5 or 6 inches for you to be able to slip the new body block into place onto the stud.
- Steering shaft will need to be undone. You may be able to get away without a spacer, but it'll almost definitely need to be undone at least while you are installing the new blocks.

Remember to undo the fuel filler pipe also.

Hmm it seems like a lot of work. Do you think I would be better off lifting it another inch suspension wise and extending the bumpstops?

Depends on what you are trying to achieve mate.

I'd rather do a body lift install any day of the week over working on the front suspension. It isn't particular difficult, just a little time consuming.
Requires minimal tools apart from the trolley jacks.

Do you recon I could get it done and drivable (not including bumpers raised) in a day?
