Vehicle: 1978 Suzuki stockman

I have changed the cylinder head on my 1978 4 x 4 800cc Stockman utility and now the distributor will not fit into the camshaft. It is a F8A motor and the head was supposed to be the same. Does anyone know if there are two different camshafts/distributors, or what the problem could be?
