I was checking out the EGR valve today and noticed that there is no solenoid for it. it connects straight to the thermostat switch then to the manifold. Where is it supposed to be located and where is the electrical connection for it supposed to be? i cant find any connectors or any trace of where it should be. if someone could upload a picture that would be great. thanks |

I doubt you'll find a working EGR valve on a G13 motor. Do you need it for an inspection? |

not for inspection I'm just curious. surely there is a connector somewhere for a electronic valve for the EGR as at the moment it would cause lots of trouble if the ports weren't clogged with carbon. i just want to know where it is meant to be as i cant see any evidence of it being installed previously. |

Ok after much research it seems that Coilys don't have very sophisticated EGR valve systems. there is no such 4th 5th cutout switch that everyone seems to talk about. it just turns on permanently after it hits 55 degrees coolant temp and is open under acceleration and closed in deceleration somehow.??? i don't quite understand this at all seeing as when decelerating there should be excessive vacuum Crazy!?!?!? |
