Its the most common conversion. 1 Man half a day if he's sober.

have you got a 1.3 at the moment?

from 1.3 to 1.6 motor.........

engine mounts are in slightly different positions on the chassis, so you have to either drill some new holes for the bolts, or get some adapter mounts.

the 1.3 gearbox fits the 1.6 motor but you need to drill some hole in your gearbox, unless you get a adapter kit/plate

with the carby models you don't need a body lift but it's a tight squeeze.

I don't know anything about the efi computer stuff though

Ok I did a carby to EFI conversion on my Vit. If a carby 1.6 fits with no body lift then a EFI will too the EFI sits lower cauz theres no air cleaner on top of it.

NOW LISTEN HERE! Make sure where ever your getting the 1.6 EFI from you also get the complete front wiring loom including dash wiring, EFI computer, Coil & ignigter, Air Box & MAF sensor (where applicable). I cant stress enough that all this gear needs to come from the same car... THERE ARE 3 different EFI's in Vit's so if your getting it from a wreckers make sure its all from one car. You dont want to go through what i did.. trust me..

Have a look at my home page there is wireing diagrams for all 3 types and some pics on the conversion. If you have any further questions please e-mail me... www.zook4x4.com
