hey,need some help deciding what to do with my g13a,i gave it a rebuild about 2 year ago and bottom end is in good shape out to40tho so i wont be boaring it again,but the head is the problem,all standard as far as i know badly coiroded, stock carby as well,definatly lacking in power ,it was starting to mix water and oil so i`v pulled it off. Option1...buy a new head and cam etc and try a rebuild on it ,not that confident and could end up costly. option2...find a 2nd hand g16a head in good condition,complete with inlet and carby (prefed holley)would this b cheaper than option 1,has any one put a G16A head on G13A block and been inpressed with the result,any idea`s for cost on this one . option 3....2nd hand G13B head efi 16v,love the idea of fuel injection but is this easily done keep in mind im not good with eletrics and wiring and would like to keep cost down below $1000 .

G16a head with g13a headgasket will be easy.
Can use same manifolds or g16a ones.
Will need g16a timing cover and g16 timing tensioner bits.
Probably wont be much difference, compared to g13a etc.

G13b head - requires new pistons, custom exhaust manifold, g13b or 16b bottom end pulley, combo/bastardised timing cover, g16b or g13b pulleys and alt bracket etc. Fair bit of dicking around for a donk that cant handle g13b rpm.
Unless doing full efi with a complete g13b motor, probably not worth the effort

G13a has a longer stroke and may cause issues on the head etc.

A g16a may be worth while, but i probably wouldnt bother.
i bastardised a few motors, now i cbf.

Oh, you can probably find one locally, but i have a g13ba head about 150,000 km on it if it suits etc.
