Hi guys, i recently put some 2inch old man emu lifted springs in my sierra (as seen in picture) in preparation for some big tyres yesterday, but I'm also tossing up wether or not to
put in my 3inch Calmini shackles which i bought for cheap. I'm pretty sure they're illegal, does anyone know how strict the police are in SA with this type of stuff?
This is a big decision as I need to buy the right sized shocks soon.

Also I'm thinking Hancook Dynapro muds on f100 rims, 235/75 r 15 any thoughts?

Shackles are bad. If your trying to fit bigger tyres either body lift or guard cut, or both.
If you want more flex then RUF (rear springs in the front)
Shackles are not going to make your car any better, other than making it look more hectic to others.

I've not used the hancooks, but I have used 225/75 r15 and 30x9.5s wich are just a tad smaller and a tad bigger,
They will get you down most tracks while keeping some of the fun factor you get from running smallish tyres
You will want gears though, I run 4.9's and think there great, though a bit low for sand dunes.
If sand driving is most of what you do then you could try a 1L case or diff gears so you don't end up with a crawling low range.

Oh and those tyres will clear fine may have to beat the seam in the wheel arches a little with a hammer

Hankooks are a good tyre no dramas or major wear in 60,000kms on my lwb but i run 235/85r16 (32"s)
