Post subject:  Removing Gearbox / Transmission

Hey,

I read heaps about it being difficult to fully remove the gearbox due to the cross member being in the way when I did my clutch and I couldn't either.

Did a gearbox rebuild on my own a few weekends ago and found a simple way of doing it.

Tied rope on to the box hangars each side, up around the motor and onto something sturdy, I used the bull bar.

On the rear engine mount bracket there is a hanger mount, I didn't realize, but there's a nut on the top of it - remove that and once you've knocked the bell housing loose, you can lower it down. It's still a bit tight, but only tool a couple of minutes to have it on the floor.

I hope that helps :)
