Post subject:  Swap M16A to M15A ECU

Hi, im writing this post for 2 reason: 1.- i need help and opinions. 2.-to help who want do this swap work
First i will explain my situation (English is not my first language, sorry)
I bought a suzuki sx4 M16A car but stolen the ECU, coils, instrument cluster, MAF sensor, MAP sensor, body throttlre and cut wiring loop. well, i bought all these parts from UK , BUT i bougth a M15 ECU (a mistake indeed) for my M16 engine, reading other post i know i can swap M16 ecu for M15 ECU and i m doing this work.
First i disassembly all panels on interior dash, because i need change wiring loop. The old wiring was cut by the thief.
I installed the new wiring but some connector are not the same, HO2 sensor is quite different, and ABS pump connector is far from abs pump , because my car is left hand and UK parts are for right hand drive obviously (another rookie mistake ). well, i cut and weld all this conectors and cables from the old wiring to new wiring to fit on my car.
well, when all was connecte i tried start my car, cranks but it not start, in that moment i realized about my mistake, i bought a M15 ECU (stupid!!!) ok, according many post, a M16 engine can works with M15 ECU (if both has o has not a VVT system). I check all pins and wires and make a comparation chart about m15 and m16 ecu pin out and find some diferences

M16 car has not TP sensor, and M15 ECU has not electric trottle body, i dont know if another system is diferente and need modification. Another diference on my vehicule is the keyless system. the M15 ECU (and key and antenna coil key system) has a keyless system, but my car has not. i do not know if this diference allow start my engine. well i will try again when a MAP sensor arrive from USA (because i cant buy in my country) and yesterday i realized i dont have this sensor.
Any suggestion?

In all honesty- the best solution will be to get the correct ecu for the variant and engine.

Steve.
