Hi all,
Just want to know if i can fit the doors of a JLX onto my JX ?
Are they physically the same size/shape besides the electric windows ?
How do i connect the electric windows ?

Electric windows wiring loom isn't included in the JX loom as you would hope

I had to separate the power window and central locking wiring out of the JLX loom to transfer over. Wasn't hard.... just a pain in the Arse

So the doors would fit, just the wiring that is a pain ?
Just want to make 100% sure before i pay for them.

Yes doors definitely fit. No issues there at all.

So as it turns out there is some redundant wiring in the JX harness for the power windows and central locking... but not the power mirrors.

Also you need the little black control box for the windows/locking. Unfortunately the one out of my '90 JLX is a different plug to the loom in the '95 JX so I either have to try and slice in the old one or try and find a box outta the later one. Its a bigger plug and extra wires in the letter model one. Perhaps suits 4 door as well.

What year model is yours and the one that the doors coming out of?

I have a 92 JX soft top and just bough another 91 JX hard top with electric windows. Need some other parts but got the complete car for cheap.

You should be ok... Theres a black box that attaches to the wiring loom near to where the audio wiring branches off. The box is about 15x10x4cms. You'll need this out of the JLX. The window and central locking plugs should be lurking behind the front speakers.

I'll take a pic of the one i have and the plugs your looking for tomorrow night for you to help you out. If you have the wrong black box perhaps we could swap as mine should be correct for your car.

Hey Mate, heres pics of the Control Box and the Plug from the '90 JLX.

I'm trying to use the loom from a '95 JX which has different plug... slightly bigger with extra few pins.
