bad, aren't they know for being the weakest link.... at least with the Asians you can steal bits from slowlux's etc....... I have a pair of auto free wheeling hubs you can have, then you don't even have to get out to go 4wding? |

Yeah, just thought i'd ask. mine are a bit rustic lol. And i was watching the tassie dvd with 4wd monthly and the big V8 80 series had them on it. And thought if they were bad they wouldnt use them on something big, heavy and powerful like that. Chop |

AVM's are junk. No, you wouldn't use them on something big and heavy, they'll just break. Aisin hubs are very strong - AFAIK there is no stronger alternative. Steve. |

just go down to u-steal it & rape a few 4wd's. As far as I could see most of the guts are the same... the only difference I could see were the different spline counts. |

early steel avm's are the way to go and far more reliable than aisins. the early avm's are a licensed version of the warn hub. as long as aisins are kept lubricated they will be fine, but the dial is so much nicer on an early avm. |
