Post subject:  Lift Kit?

I was hoping someone could help me determine the best lift kit options available...

I got some quotes from ARB for the Old Man Emu 40mm kit. And then some more quotes for the Tough Dog 40mm and 60mm from a different place.

Is there more work involved in a 60mm kit compared to 40mm? Will more things be inclined to go wrong later on? Also should I just go all out with and 80mm Lift?

Thanks

I brought a 2" kit from ebay, I'm pretty happy with it.

Can't really comment on Jim's or coils, but ome do a pretty good job at offering a lift that has taken into account ride quality and that the car is not 2.5t of patrol.
I'm very happy with my leafy kit 5 years after having brought it.

Hi
Check out the EFS 50 mm kit. I just put one on a 2013 jimny and it comes with castor correction bushes. Bout the same price fitted as the OME. Be prepared though you might get a little of the famous jimny steering wobble when you up size suspension and tyres.

Tough dog kits come with large bore shocks which are too stiff for a Jimny unless its got a tonne of accessories on it aswell.

My mate has a Jimnybits 80mm lift with castor corrected arms, adjustable panhards etc, With proper castor and alignment wobble is not an issue. If I had a Jim thats the way id go.

Ome are the best basic kit, anything higher you need arms castor correction etc. depends what you want to achieve

I bought a 2" dobinsons lift, they chucked in castor bushes with the shocks and coils, total $850 Inc gst, they had 20% off at the time, but maybe if you pushed it a bit, they'd do it again. No complaints so far, they take all the abuse I give them. got my body lift from just_cruzin which was fun to fit >< but has been essential to fit the 235/75/15s
