I have done it. I pulled the trigger on a new to me 2006 grand vitara 2.7 prestige. I was looking for a 3.2 but they are difficult to find at a reasonable price . It's a nice white one with a ECB alloy bar and a couple of spotties mounted to it and about 75km on her. It was supposed to be picked up tomorrow but it needed new control arm bushes for the roadworthy and they ordered the wrong ones so it's now early next week for pick up. On a side note this must be a common fault with these because 2 of the 4 cars I went to look at had just had them replaced. If anyone can recommend who to get a towbar from on the Southside of brisbane that would b appreciated. Also looking to get some lift and to swap out the alloy bar for a winch bar. I like the look of the xrox but it seems they get a bad rap from some people any reaso for that ? Many other options ? I don't mind the Arb bar but its a few more $$ than the Xrox Thanks Marc |

Welcome, run while you can.............haha. Yes the control arm bushes can be an issue, think this is atributed to lifting too high? Has that one got after market springs? One of the ngv(new grand vitara) owners will know more about it. |

As far as I can tell apart from the bar it's all stock. One of the others had 2 inch lift but this one looks standard. |

Yes the bushes flog out faster then standard height. In saying that, I still have all my original control arm bushes, but my sway bar link bushes had to be replaced at 75k. Ironman also do a bullbar that would be in between arb and xrox prices |
