Alternate Jimny engine upgrades?

I have been trying to find a G13B in Darwin to bolt into a 99 Jimny but with no luck at all. The cheapest I can get one here for is $3000 and that's not even rebuilt.
So if I'm looking at spending around $4000 for an engine I might as well see what my other options are.

So what are the next best options for a bit more grunt, another engine option with more stuffing around or go a turbo/super charger etc?

Just swap the cam and use a cheap baleno coilpack 1.6
Anymore power than that and jimny bits go bang

It's the postage to Darwin that kills you, I could probably get a whole car up here cheaper.

That's the trouble, I can get all sorts of good stuff down south, but getting it here is murder.
