basicaly in short, I just picked up a cheap Sierra with a vitara g16b dizzy motor in it to use as an engine swap into my Sierra (as I don't have the time/ cash for a full on baleno coil pack swap) I know these motors are notorious for cracking heads and blocks so I'm wondering... Once the vitata g16b is in my zook, if it happens to go bang and die what are my easiest replacement options? Will a baleno dizzy engine bold straight in with the vitara cam and dizzy? or will I have to go to the extent of swapping wiring harnesses etc, I just want to be prepared for the worst cheers Also I hear baleno blocks (from a dizzy engine) and vitara efi motors are interchangeable? What about heads? Or would that require the wiring harness swapped? Thanks a heap |

You can use a g16b from vit, baleno (dizzy or coilpack), or possible tbi swift. Besides the vitara, they all require swapping cam and dizzy. A coilpack baleno has the crank angle sensor, you can put a welch plug in the hole, or swap the oil pump housing over. A tbi swift has a few head bolt holes different (some drilling and tapping required to fit the manifolds) and it needs some relief (for the injectors) to be machined out of the head. |

Cheers mate, so if I blow my vitara g16b the easiest replacement other then another vitara engine would be a g16b from a dizzy baleno hey? Which would require the vitara dizzy and cam and maybe a dizzy angle adaptor? I'm scared of a cracked block haha I read about it so often |

What dizzy angle adapter? Its not a mk1 g13b, and if you have the vit cam and dizzy and stuff, you use it. The only pieces are the dizzy housing, dizzy and camshaft. |

Oh ok no worries, I read somewhere about needing some dizzy adaptor to use a dizzy baleno motor in a Sierra.... but if it's just a case of vitara cam and dizzy into the baleno engine then that's great then |
