I have had a look around on the fourm using the serch function and haven't been able to find any information on putting a 1.3 radiator. I know they have the same outlets but is it just a case of putting the radiator and brackets in then ensuring the shroud mounts up? My stock one is looking pretty sad and its cheaper to buy a 1.3 rad Cheers David |

Yes they fit But... you will need to redrill the mounting holes on the side and also for the shroud. It may also be necessary to space the rad brackets forward 10mm off the chassis mount and give them a little bend. Its not overly complicated just a few minor tweaks |

Bend the 1.3 brackets or can you use the 1.0 ones |

Also - you can get brand new maruti radiators which are a touch larger than sierra, however the top tank is plastic not alloy if that bothers you, but the extra size SHOULD give a bit more cooling factor. |

Which motor conversion? Because anything "G" will cool fine with a 1.3 radiator. |

Interesting. I would have thought the Beams motor wouldn't play well with an auto. If the gearing, stall speed and auto strength all come together that'll be a cool combo. I imagine it will need a rear mounted radiator to get enough surface area. Steve. |

The beams had auto's factory fitted in altezza's along with the 6speed. Pretty sure it's an asin 50. If that doesn't work ill put a a340 behind it. |

Sure, I can only comment on my experience with a 20V 4AGE offering a broadly similar power delivery. Wasn't a very easy auto to drive off road. Stall speed and throttle modulation weren't the easiest to manage. The added capacity of the beams motor should help with torque around stall speed, especially in a light car, but once it's on song and the converter has stalled, that's a lot of HP to modulate. I had in my head the 3SGE is a pretty heavy motor? |

Yeah, had it in my head they are hefty. (4AGE is heavy enough by sierra standards) I wonder if the BEAMS has an alloy block? Next question, that's a lot of wheelspeed or traction. Either way it's going to require a LOT of driveline strength. (and a lot of cooling if it's ever loaded for long) whats the broader build plan? Steve. |

Beams is 140kg. I know this is kinda heavy but future plans is to make the car a decent touring rig with a roof top tent hidden mostly behind the cab. Couple inches of lift and 31's |

That's about as far from a touring rig as I could imagine. 200hp and 140kg on the front axle does not a reliable Sierra make. Good luck with the build. |
