I cannot get the nut undone on the rear diff to change the flange to a WT one, will the lower part of a NT drive shaft fit the WT splines?
I understand it may be out of balance, but it is a temporary thing until I can change the flange over properly...
I can get a NT shaft tomorrow arvo I hope...

Yep the WT and NT shaft splines should be the same.

FYI, another way to do it is to remove the uni joint and change the yoke.

I have a NT flange and WT shaft and just redrilled the flange. It's possibly slightly dodgy, but it works.

flange nuts are evil

to date my rear diff flange nut score is

diff 3
sam 0

think i might have to take it to a shop with a nuclear powered rattle gun

@ Damo - Yes, that would work if it was me trying to mate a NT shaft to a WT flange as there would be enough room, but the opposite would be bad news... Oh yes it is dodgy too.

Yeah my transfer case flange nut score was

transfer 3
Kevin 0

but i turned it round

transfer 3
Kevin 3

We used a snap-on rattle gun with 1/2 inch drive with the help of some fire

get a shit flat head screw driver, smack it in with a hammer and bend out the locking tab on the nut before you try to undo it. i've only ever had to get a little bar to undo them if i needed the bar at all.

rattle guns are for lazy people that like to kill threads

The tab is out, and I used a jack under the breaker bar, it still didn't budge...

Anyway I will use a NT lower half of a drive shaft for the time being...

Lol -

Anyway I got half a tailshaft for $66 so I am in business. It is all together and working, except for the brakes...

Bled them all but still soft, I'll try again in a few days.

Thanks for all the help everyone..

KTHXBAI.
