Post subject:  Jimny Rubber floor mat options
Uh yep, this is a thread about how you went about getting that rubber floor mat for your Jimny to work.

I never thought it would be this hard (maybe I am making it hard?). So I just received my 2014 Jimmy today, after many a month lurking the AZ forums and watching APIO japan videos (just to tease myself). First thing of course was to get a good pair of rubber mats (dish type) to throw in the front and back, but no luck. Even the universal ones had trouble fitting into the jimny's footwell upon testing at SuperCheapAuto - often the width was the deal breaker for the mats.

I come seeking wisdom, who was figured out what brand rubber mats work with the jimny? Even a picture or two would help. Maybe its about time somebody took a mould of the footwell and cashed in? :wink:

Have you looked at Jeep Wrangler ones?
They're very narrow and driver's side has a cut out around the accelerator.

Haven't tried them myself, but they look like they might fit.

I've been thinking about this for my sierra recently as the stock rubber mat on the drivers side is full of holes... i was wondering about buying some decent rubber sheeting and using a heat gun to warp it into place on the floor, then cut holes to pick up the standard clips. No idea if it would work, but the idea is there.

I just have repco brand dish mats and trimmed them to fit

Cheers for all the info and ideas guys! At this stage I opted for a set of the generic SCA ones, non-dish, but rubber nonetheless. - just until I find a pair that fit better. It's a bit hard to find a pair that fit due to the awkward footwell obstructions in the jimny, not to mention the smaller size (most dish mats have landcruisers in mind I feel).

I pulled the carpet out. Now I use a fire hose :)
