Has any one hooked up the idle up wire on a Baleno G16B? What kind of diode do I use?

I'd like to wire mine up either to a switch or parkers. Running my air compressor at idle stalls the motor.

PJZook shows diodes on his baleno wiring diagram and looking in the FSM they are in the junction box, But I've already binned mine so I can't crack it open and have a look.

The last thing I want to do is fry my ECU.

EDIT: Showing my noob here, Are the diodes there to stop other conneted loads from turning on? E.G, rear demister and headlights both connect to ECU idle up and the diodes stop the headlights turning on if the demister is turned on?

That's exactly what they are for - the circuit is sometimes known as a diode "OR" gate - if the rear demister OR the lights OR the blower fan is on - without the individual circuits affecting one another ...

Pretty much any power diode should do. Those are the black plastic molded ones. Stay away from zener or signal diodes.

The voltage drop is about the same no matter the power handling of them. So not too critical which you get.
