i have recently done a spoa onversion and in second gear at about 2500-3000 rpm i get a vibration/shudder doesnt happen in other gears just at those revs in 2nd gear, any idea wat it is |

Had a similar problem when I put a 6" lift kit in my GQ. Check your uni's and uni angles |

If you accidentally dropped the drive shafts out of the splines and then put them back in with the uni's not aligned you will get that problem. It will go away or be less noticeable in higher gears. Second issue could be the alignment pic below gives you the idea, the uni's should be parallel with each other top and bottom

i had the uni's the wrong way to start both facing the same way that helped a bit fixing that but still there. |

my spoa does the same thing. shudder/vibs in 2nd. does your do it a tiny bit in 3rd? i thing i did was rebuild the tcase. that did help but its still there and to me its now a 'zook thing' however if you do fix it please let me know |

i have read that you use the front dc tailshaft from a hilux to fix the vibe. i'd be checking the unis or how much of your slip joint is out |

doesnt really shudder in 3rd just 2nd. slip joint is out about an 1' front shaft doesnt even reach |

There is something weird going on with your rear end. The pinion angle in relation to your spring pads looks very strange. Did you make sure you welded the pads on in the right location? The pinion should be closer to parallel to the ground rather than pointing at the output shaft of the tranny. maybe fix with castor wedges. |

i didnt weld the perches on they were already done. they were out of a mates car. |

for starters you will need some shorter leaves in there or your pack won't last long, and secondly the pinion angle is not right. the new perch must be paralell to the old one. |

And the rear shaft is out of time. Pull the spline out and spin it 90 degrees so the uni yolks line up |

its most likely going to come down to axel wrap. even if your not pushing it hard its still going to be there. i jacked my car up the other day to cheak a nother problem i had. i had the enigne running in 5th gear at idel and i did quick stabs at the throttle and the axel was moving. i also have 5leafs in the back |
