Hi .. i just finished rebuilding my gi3bb engine , rebored , new pistons , rings , bearings etc ..had an issue with the head so i obtained a second hand one , put it all back together and fitted it back into the car .. the problem i have is it starts no worries but when i i put my foot on the accelerator it wont rev out ... if i let it sit for a bit and give it a few pumps it seems to kick in and rev out no problems ..when i take it for a run its pretty gutless .. to me it sounds like a fuel issue but im no mechanic so any advice would be greatly appreciated ... |

How much fuel is in it? Check engine light on? Check all vacuum lines etc Check the coil packs and leads - i have had issues with a jimny and baleno, can present with random/intermittent misses, usually while accelerating, but idli g too. Sometimes the flaw is very hard to notice, if at all. Check the head bolts - initial problem presents the same as coil pack issues, with the intermittent missing. Then starts using coolant etc. Especially with the head being put back on, they just dont "work" as expected and require a retorque. Then you're into the check injectors and sensors, fuel filter etc |
