Hey all,

Just noticed EFS are now making a 65mm lift unlike the common 50mm lift for the sierra. I'm going to assume its just the 50mm leafs with an added leaf or two probably.. But has anyone fitted them or had experience with the EFS springs in their zuki's?

I've heard some good and bad about them, but that was on much bigger and heavier cars. as we all know suspension is hugley different from car to car.

Cheers :)

I can't see a reason a Sierra needs 65mm of extra compression travel.
I'm aware of the leaves being used with heavy engine conversions or de-rated to provide lots of travel with a lower ride height.

Honestly stick to the 50mm, which once you realise how stuff the springs are without constant weight, will drop down to about 40-45mm as you'll take a leaf or two out.

But, EFS springs work well with our cars providing you get a good shock absorber with it. Many people on here run them and are very happy with them.

Good shocks aren't a problem, have a friend working at King Springs and he's sourcing me some remote adjustable shocks for it. Should run sweet :)

I like the efs 65mm as they are longer than the majority of 50mm springs on the market giving slightly better shackle angle and smoother ride once they settle. That 65mm turns into 50mm pretty quick with regular offroad use but because of the extra length the standard rear shackles have a tendency to invert

Alright no worried sounds good! How do the 65mm springs handle weight? Have you had them loaded before? I'm assuming you have them in your own rig..

Yeah i remove the load leaf (bottom fat one) to soften them a bit quicker but i had around 250kg+ in the tub for 1200+ km trip over xmas and to be honest it could have done with the load leaf being in but i only do 2-3 trips like that a year so id rather a softer ride 99% of the time

Yeah to be honest the rougher ride doesn't bother me at all, I've owned plenty of zuki's in the past its just a zuki thing.. I want weight handling. I'm planning on doing massive trips, and I mean like 2000km or more with 300 or more kg in the back. So I need the load spring. I've always loved zukis and my plan is to make one a tourer .. a lot of people said its not possible. I'm making it possible.

I dare say i thought of an airbag type setup
Efs also do a hd lwb spring that flexs shitza but handles the weight with ease
Shackle angle is about 20* the opposite way with lots of spring arc
The ride is terrible unless its loaded

They list it as a hd lwb spring but it also will fit a swb

Also will be more like 80mm when unloaded

So the 65mm swb springs are ok in a lwb? As im planning on doing a ruf and using the 65mm rear springs with the load leaf out on my maruti

At that far over your GVM expect reliability problems.
