Hi all, just wondering where I can buy a steering knuckle oil seal from in Australia. The only place I've found so far is on eBay from India but that was only for a whole rebuild kit not just the seals, cheers.

If you are talking about the rubber ring seal on the ball surface, you may have read somewhere about cutting this seal before mounting it. This is done only if you are being "lazy" and have not removed the complete assembly - axle shaft and all. Best results are had by stretching the rubber seal (make sure it faces the right way) over the knuckle ball housing, then inserting the axle shaft and the rest of the assembly into place. This way, you have a continuous seal on the ball surface.
Maybe it is just us pinhead Yanks that managed to get the cutting procedure into our published SJ steering knuckle rebuild instructions...

Lol! Cutting the seal is part of my service manual instructions! Says to replace the seal every year or two this way.
I figure if rather wait until it starts to break down and overhaul the whole knuckle. That way I assure the CV grease gets replaced at eventual intervals
