Hi all,

I own a 2000 jimny with a g16b manual

Recently my car has started stalling after about 10-15 minutes of driving
The rev taco goes absolutely mental flickering, car starts backfiring and popping and coughing and then will eventually stall

The car then wont start for about 5 minutes, and then starts and drives for another 10-15 minutes

I have changed CAM sensor, changed a blocked/leaking injector and also swapped out ecu

Need this fixed a.s.a.p as this car is my daily

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Did you change the sensor with a new one?
might pay to pull the housing off the back to check the cam sensor wheel flags that they are not damaged.

Also check for excessive oil in the housing and give it a good wipe out. I am not certain oil is actually a problem but cruddy oil can build up in the the sensor housing and may cause an issue.

Aside from that start looking for fueling issues, fuel pressure regulator, vacuum leaks and fuel pump.

g16b Crank angle sensor should be redundant in the jimny if you are running the jimny ecu.

The CAM sensor was brand new from suzuki, and have checked for vaccuum leaks but could not see any

Where can i locate the fuel pump and fuel filter?

Fuel pump and filter is in the tank.

Do you have the full service manual?
