As the title suggests I have a F10a that, when the temp gauge shows half motor runs great at highway speed (for a 1 litre), but occasionally the temp will be slightly lower than half and it seems to lack power any suggestions? if the thermostats is no good could this effect power? Thanks |

It seems running the little motor on the highway calls for high revs, leading a lot of air through the radiator from the fan. Which leads to a cooler running temp. Unfortunately I wouldn't know any solutions to fix the "problem", perhaps replacing the sump oil with a more viscous type, so that the oil isn't causing resistance from being colder. |

I bet someone has pulled the thermostat out at some stage. If the car starts to run cold the thermostat should close and maintain temperature. Start with the thermostat. |
