I bought a 1996 sj80 sierra and I took it 4x4 on the weekend but it Is way to hard and even just driving on the road it throws the car all over the road when it hits bumps, it is coils all around and I want to know what are some good springs to put in it, it currenty has upgraded king springs in it so im assuming that's why it is so hard out on the 4x4 track. 8O If you want to see a video of it on youtube look up Bradster27 and it is me and another guy he is in a black hilux.

i don't have experience with the sierra, but had this issue with my jimny & it was actually the shock absorbers. maybe unbolt the bottom of the 2 rear shocks & just see for yourself how soft the springs are.

first what pressure is in your tyres? its often a misconception that you need to run 40psi in your tyres.

next efs do nice springs but your need decent shocks too. your shocks could have seised

Agreed!

I would kill to have soft suspension. I have Gabriel shocks and EFS springs, my leafy is still rough as guts!

You can't ever expect a zook to be as soft as a bigger 4x4.

Driving a Sierra isn't meant to be comfortable, It's an experience. :)
