What can I upgrade a Vitara or Baleno intank fuel pump with? Do Wahlbro make an upgrade and if so is it worth it? Or any other brands recommended?
Any suggestions would be great, just want to see what's out there as an upgrade while I have the pump out

I cant help you with what will work and what wont, but what are you wanting out of the upgrade? More flow?

Yeah more flow I guess. Wanting to build my GTI motor up a bit and turbo some day soon so didn't think it would hurt to put a more powerful one in.

Thats a good reason then. From memory now a mate of mine had a bosch VL pump lying around his shed and i had looked at chucking that in the vitara tank. Wasnt much work to modify the pick up to make it work. Maybe thats something to look at? Take your pump down to supershit or ripco and compare them. You'ell be able to see if you will be able to make it work or not pretty easily.

Other optoin is to chuck a surge tank on with a external pump later when the time comes to turbo it. Im not a huge fan of surge tanks but they do work.

Submerged EFI pumps are fairly generic. Look at a fuel pump catalogue and have a look at which vehicles the standard Vit pumps are interchangeable in. The actual pump excluding the connector and pickup is the same one found in cars with over double the horsepower of a standard Vit. There is nothing to be gained by 'more flow'. From memory the one in my Vit is a direct replacement for a Subaru Impreza.

This one is a direct fit, beware of Chinese fakes.

Okay great ideas and thanks Britvit! I like the sound of that one you linked!
Not too sure I'd do a surge tank. Trying to avoid it as much as possible.

I have installed a subaru intank pump in a vitara tank . Was cheep as all the wrx guys want upgrades etc . I figured enough fuel for a suby would be enough for what I wanted . Alas never used it , the tank and pump eneded up in the back of a cut up disco running the v8 .

Cheers
Chris
