Hi guys,

I've got a 97 SJ80 Sierra Coily, Just got back from the Captain Fawcett track here in WA and one of the rods under the front of the car is bent and the bolt is missing on the end near the left front wheel. It's the rod just in front of the front axle, and just behind the steering rod coming from the steering box. Not sure if this is the front sway arm or something like that?

I was just going to take it out, try and straighten it, and find a bolt to fit (the net is welded on the frame). Is there anything else I need to think about?

Any help's appreciated!

I found this picture. The bar I'm talking about is coming from the top left of the picture, and the bolt that's missing is the one at the end of that bar.

It's the panhard rod.

Do not drive the car until at the very least you've replaced the bolt and understand what other damage the bolt breaking(?) has done.

I'm surprised the car is drivable and/or you haven't had a massive accident.
